You Are Not Sick, You Are Detoxing!
When you are feeling sick and run down with a head cold, fever and body aches, listen to your body. Take time to rest and allow your body to cleanse and heal itself.
We have been taught to treat and suppress symptoms instead of assisting the body’s natural detoxification process. Most people think they “catch the flu” and that it takes medicine to fight it.
Flu symptoms are signs of the body’s healing mechanism working; it heats up to fight off bacteria, viruses, and toxins. You’ll notice you aren’t hungry and have no desire for coffee, alcohol and heavy foods. What your body is trying to tell you is it wants to fast and rest to release the toxic stress. Staying in bed resting, drinking lots of water and fasting (or eating fruit and salads) can be more beneficial than a vacation; it offers you time to rest, heal, reflect and renew your spirit.
Health and Immunity Depleting

Health and Immunity Boosting
- Vitamin C

All symptoms, such as headaches, fatigue, yeast infections, skin rashes, muscle pains, sleeping problems, flu, colds and cough, among others, are cleansing reactions not to be suppressed. Instead they are to be embraced as the body is releasing the toxic overload, bringing you to a higher state of health. Look at symptoms as signs of healing, instead of suppressing them with more toxins (drugs). Listen to what your body is telling you and allow
it to release the stress.
It is important to focus on your diet and eat foods that are nutritious and as unprocessed as possible. Refrain from gluten, dairy, meat, processed foods and stimulants such as drugs, sugar, coffee, tea and alcohol. Refraining from them for a short period will enable your system to clear itself of certain toxins that have accumulated. This also will help you feel
their effects once you start incorporating them back into your diet one at a time. Use your own discretion to know what is best to eat and eliminate for your body and health.
“Everyone has a doctor in him or her; we just have to help it in its work. The natural healing force within each one of us is the greatest force in getting well. Our food should be our medicine. Our medicine should be our food. But to eat when you are sick, is to feed your sickness.” –Hippocrates, Greek physician and Founder of Medicine, 460 BC
